Perfect Hotel

This summer will be my 13th year to Martha’s Vineyard for my vacation and I wouldn’t think of staying anywhere but the Pequot Hotel. Everything you could expect at a hotel in Martha’s Vineyard is at the Pequot. The staff and manager Lisa — can’t say enough about them. When I get to the island and walk up the steps to the hotel, I feel right at home. Every year there are renovations and updates.  Perfect location. Only a block to the water.  Short walk to Circuit Avenue shops.  So looking forward to June.

Martha’s Vineyard Tours

Whether you seek the natural beauty of pristine beaches, clay cliffs and bird watching; historic and cultural attractions; or the many artists, handcrafts and one-of-a-kind boutiques, a Martha’s Vineyard bus tour provides you with these and so much more.

Tours covers the six island towns and provide a great overview of Martha’s Vineyard. It is a 2½ hour tour and includes a ½-hour stop at the Gay Head cliffs in scenic Aquinnah and a beautiful pass through idyllic Edgartown. Tour buses are located at the Steamship Terminals and most other ferry docks and depart on regularly scheduled times. Call (508) 627-TOUR for more information, or we at the Pequot would be happy to help you with advice and arrangments.

Martha’s Vineyard Camp Meeting Association Tours

Visit one of America’s National Historic Landmarks.  Guided walking tours through Oak Bluff’s MVCMA neighborhood — with more than 300 Victorian “gingerbread” cottages and related structures — start at the Tabernacle every Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. during July and August.  The tour takes approximately 90 minutes.   Fee is $10 for adults and includes a pass to the Cottage Museum. Children under 10 are free.  Private tours are available by calling (508) 693-0525.

Martha’s Vineyard Excursions

If you need transportation services for a social or professional event, Martha’s Vineyard Excursions will take care of transporting equipment, luggage, golf clubs, guests, flower girls, or CEOs.  They operate from May through October and can also provide tours of the Island or customized shopping trips for any sized group.  For further information, call (508) 654-0381.

Off Season Relaxation

My husband and I were visiting the island on our 3rd Wedding Anniversary. Great place to relax, do some biking and very accommodating on our stay. Breakfast is wonderful, good variety and good presentation, along with their afternoon cookies and tea. They even surprised us with a bottle of wine and glasses to share. Our room was small but quaint and fit us well. Definitely will make a return visit to Pequot. Loved the porch with all the rocking chairs, a great place to relax with a glass of wine and to meet new friends.
