Off Season Relaxation

My husband and I were visiting the island on our 3rd Wedding Anniversary. Great place to relax, do some biking and very accommodating on our stay. Breakfast is wonderful, good variety and good presentation, along with their afternoon cookies and tea. They even surprised us with a bottle of wine and glasses to share. Our room was small but quaint and fit us well. Definitely will make a return visit to Pequot. Loved the porch with all the rocking chairs, a great place to relax with a glass of wine and to meet new friends.

Restaurants to suit every palate and budget

Seafood is abundant, of course, but there are many other options ranging from fine dining to great sandwiches, ethnic fare and pizza. Oak Bluffs is also the liveliest town on Martha’s Vineyard in terms of nightlife.  Here is a partial list of dining spots within walking distance of the Pequot Hotel:

  • Martha’s Vineyard Chowder Company
  • Lookout Tavern
  • Sweet Life
  • Offshore Ale Co.
  • Nancy’s
  • Giordano’s
  • Red Cat
  • 20byNine
  • Linda Jean’s
  • Thai Taste
  • Slice of Life
  • Mocha Mott’s Coffee
  • Mad Martha’s Ice Cream
  • Backdoor Donuts (an Oak Bluffs tradition!)

Shopping, too

Circuit Avenue, the colorful “Main Street” of Oak Bluffs, lies just three blocks from the Pequot Hotel.  There you will find a variety of stores, boutiques and gift galleries including these favorites:

  • The Black Dog
  • Vineyard Vines
  • Sanctuary (home goods)
  • Murdick’s Fudge

Nice September Getaway

Everyone was helpful and friendly. Nice location and within walking distance into town and the beach. Nice breakfast items in the morning, and cookies in the afternoon!
